                                               Clonminch Cemetery Sunday

Mass and blessing of graves takes place in Clonminch , Sunday 20, at 6.00pm.

We remember the recently deceased and those long dead - those who shared our childhood years, those who were our companions and friends during our adult years, those who shared our faith, our hopes for the future, those who gave us love and received our own, our relatives, friends, neighbours and those with no one to pray for them.  As we share these memories we know that part of us has gone into eternity and part of them remains with us.

 Tullamore International Summer Organ Series

The 3rd recital, on Tuesday 22 at 8.00pm, will be given by Gabriel Marghieri of France.  He is organist titulaire of both the Saint-Bonaventure Sanctuary in Lyon and of the Sacre Coeur de Montmartre basilica in Paris.  The recital will include works by Messian, Handel and Vierne.

Polish Mass
in Church of the Assumption, Sunday 20th at 2.30pm.  All welcome.

Communion with Life

In the Eucharist, Jesus gives us the gift of a companionship so loving, so complete, so divine, that only He could give it.  It is the beginning of the loving union of God with us, His people.  This union brings eternity with it - Jesus makes this clear when He says, "if anyone eats this bread, they will live forever".

All through life, union with Jesus in the Eucharist gives us help and grace to live to the best of our abilities.  The Eucharist holds the story of the work of human hands, brought to us in Christ's Body. It is a gift of life to us and to all the peoples of the earth, given without conditions or price.

This food is a sign from age to age of the relationship that was born and sealed in the saving blood of Christ - our God in human form.
