Baptisms are in Tullamore on the 1st Sunday & 3rd Saturday of the month and in Durrow the 2nd Sunday of the month. Next pre-Baptism meeting - Wed 16 Aug - 8.30pm, Parochial House. All parents who wish to have their child baptised must attend a meeting. Contact Parish Secretary for details.

SHINING THROUGH

How many of us can say we have been changed in form or appearance: transfigured?

In today's world the body's form and appearance can be transformed outwardly if so desired or if we are unhappy with how we look to ourselves or others.

While giving temporary pleasure, it can not compare to what happens within us when we bring ourselves into the presence of God in prayer.

In this one-to-one relationship, we discover God's love if we "listen to Him" more (v8). Our hearts can change, and our appearance and our lives can reflect to the world what the transforming love of God can do.

It can be the light that leads us into the future full of hope.

It can be our Tabor experience!

"... they no longer saw anyone except Jesus with them". (Mk 9:8)
