PARISH CAR PARK
The increased use of our car park at St Brigid's Place/Store St, reflects the new demand created by the introduction of parking charges in the town.
Parishioners who use the Car Park when they attend Mass or any other celebration in the Church, are welcome to use it free of charge.  The exit barrier remains open each morning from 10.00-11.00am to cater for those attending 10.00am Mass.
On the occasions of weddings and funerals, the barrier will be open for one hour after the estimated conclusion of the ceremony.
We wish all our parishioners to understand that there is no intention to charge them for the use of the Car Park on any occasion that they attend a celebration in our Parish Church.  Meanwhile, patrons of the Car Park seem happy to have it available at a charge of €2 per day.

Also we would like to remind people that while the Church grounds are open to those attending Masses in the mornings, the barrier closes automatically at 11.30am unless there is a funeral or wedding.  Therefore we would ask you to please ensure that your car is out the grounds by 11.30am.  Thank you.

FAREWELL TO FR ANDRE:
We take this opportunity to say farewell to Fr Andre, who is returning to his native diocese in Burkina Faso.  Over the past seven years, firstly as a seminarian, and then as a priest, Fr Andre has been a regular visitor to the parish where he has been made most welcome both by the clergy and the staff in the Parochial House and by the people of the parish.
We appreciate the help that he has been able to give during the holiday period each year, and thank him most sincerely.
We feel that his presence in the parish has been a reminder to us to offer help and welcome to those from other countries, especially countries of great poverty.  We also wish people to be aware that Bishop Smith has fully funded Fr Andre as a student and a post-graduate at Maynooth College for the past seven years.
We thank the Bishop for his great generosity to the tune of €100,000 over that time.  We know that Fr Andre has benefited greatly from this generosity, and that he does appreciate the generosity shown to him.

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

Jesus our Good Shepherd, tells us that we need to take ‘time-out' from this busy world, for rest and reflection.

"Near restful waters he leads me, to revive my drooping spirit". (Ps 22:2)

As we rest in a quiet place, let us reflect on Paul's message to the Ephesians.

Paul reminds us, that through Jesus Christ, we can all come, in one Spirit, to the Father.
