GOD’S WORK OF ART God loves each of us so much that he sent his only Son to love us throughout our lives and to save us from making the wrong choices. If we follow Jesus, we will walk in the light and never in the darkness. It is either or - either you are for the light or for the dark. There is no in between. It sounds simple but walking in the light of Jesus, being a follower of His, is quite a difficult way of life. It takes hard work and a lot of dedication and commitment. It would be very cushy for us if we could be a source of life to others without cost to ourselves. But we receive life from God when our faith helps us to trust in His love for us. It will help to remember that: “We are God’s work of art, created in Christ Jesus to live the good life as from the beginning He had meant us to live it”. (Eph 2:10)
What matters is being right, Not being told you are.
ADMINISTRATION GROUP Meeting Wednesday 25th, 8.00pm, St Mary’s Parish Centre.
TROCAIRE’S LENTEN CAMPAIGN In the Old Testament we hear many stories of exile. The Jewish people were very familiar with being forced to flee from their home. The exiles to Babylon and to Egypt are the most famous examples of this. They knew what it was to be without the comfort and security of being in their own home. Jesus too was familiar with the type of experience Khalid had. He was a refugee as a child in Egypt and all throughout his public ministry he was an itinerant preacher. Since 1962 Burma has been ruled by the army who have continued to attack religious and ethnic minorities, burning villages, arresting people and forcing thousands into forced labour. Almost 1 million people have been forced to leave their homes and more than 150,000 have fled to temporary refugee camps along the Thai/Burma border. Trócaire continues to campaign for change in Burma while also supporting and educating those living in refugee camps. This Lent we ask that you support the people of Burma and other oppressed minorities around the world by donating to Trócaire this Lent. For more information log onto www.trocaire.org/lent

Lent is a time for lingering in the light, for letting its rays do their healthy work......” (Excerpt from piece by Fr Tom Cahill, Intercom March 09)
