THE TWO GREAT PILLARS OF THE CHURCH

On Sunday, we celebrate SS Peter and Paul.  They spoke out boldly and with conviction about their faith in Jesus who said to Peter, “you are Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church”.  John trusted Peter who finally gave his life for his beliefs.

We begin a special year in honour of St Paul.  After his conversion on the road to Damascus he became an effective evangelist.  He was an outstanding example of what it means to be a Christian.  He, too, laid down his life for his beliefs.

We may never be asked to lay down our lives but are we willing to stand up for what we believe even though we may be ridiculed?

We, too, are called to be Christian witnesses!  In this Vocation Year let us live our life of faith wtih courage and enthusiasm.

Lord, increase our faith.

Remember, the moment you say, “I give up”, someone else is seeing
the same situation and saying, “My, what a great opportunity.”

PARISH CENTRE GOLF CLASSIC

of this fund raising event for our new centre.  To the sponsors, golf clubs,
