TULLAMORE PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL

The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) of Tullamore Parish has completed its term or office having being formed in 2019 for a three year term.

In our Parish we have been blessed with Parishioners who have willingly served as members of the Council; some have served for many years.  We acknowledge our indebtedness to them all: they have been so generous with their time and gifts to serve the people of the Parish.

Parish Pastoral Councils are leadership structures that enable priests and people to work together to build up dynamic Christian communities that are characterised by prayer, hospitality, mission and evangelisation.

We will shortly begin the process of establishing a new PPC and we will have more information on this process in the coming weeks.

PARISH PASTORAL ASSEMBLY

Tullamore Parish has had a Parish Pastoral Council for many years. There is now a diocesan initiative to have such a group in every parish which will be known as the Parish Pastoral Assembly. The term of office for our current group has expired and we are now in the process of establishing a new one.

The Parish Pastoral Assembly is a faith-filled, consultative body of the faithful, through which priests and people work together as co- responsible partners in furthering the mission of Christ in their own parish. Through this partnership a vibrant Christian community, rooted in baptism and marked by its faith, worship and service can continue to be nurtured.

We invite parishioners to volunteer to serve on this group or to nominate somebody else. The new assembly will have a 4 year term of office and will assist in the running and development of our parish. Nomination forms are available in the Church or in the Parish Centre,
