PROTECTION AGAINST COVID
For clarity following the recent updated Covid guidance, Religious Services in Places of Worship are unchanged regarding capacity, with all other protective measures in place to ensure safety of the congregation. We ask parishioners to:
Continue to wear masks at all times when visiting our parish churches.
Sanitise on the way in.
Receive Holy Communion on the hand.
Use the boxes provided at the doors for the plate collection and parish envelopes.

REMEMBERING ASHLING
We remember Ashling Murphy, who has been so tragically taken from us. We remember her broken-hearted family, her pupils in Durrow school, her colleagues and friends. The shock and sorrow is beyond words. We remember them in our prayers. Lighten our darkness O Lord we pray, and comfort our sorrowing hearts. Pour Your peace that passes all understanding into the hearts of all who are grieving and shower the assurance of Your love on all, at this time of sadness.
“May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard you hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7)

BEING VACCINATED
POPE FRANCIS: In his comments, Francis said: "Being vaccinated with vaccines authorized by the competent authorities is an act of love and contributing to ensure the majority of people are vaccinated is an act of love. He added: "Vaccination is a simple but profound way of promoting the common good and caring for each other, especially the most vulnerable.”

SEEING YOUR LIFE THROUGH THE LENS OF THE GOSPEL
(Luke 3:15-16, 21-22)
The people were searching and John pointed them in the direction of Jesus. On your life’s journey, who have been the John the Baptist people for you, people who have pointed you in the right direction? The Baptism of Jesus was a very special moment for him that affirmed him in his identity as Son of God and in his mission. Recall the experiences that affirmed you – either in your sense of who you are, or in relation to the direction you were taking in life.
The Baptism of Jesus marks a transition point in his life, and the start of his public ministry. Recall the transition points in your own life. Where did you see the grace of God at work in those times? This experience of Jesus occurred when he was at prayer. What part has prayer played in opening you to be aware of God in your life? What part has prayer played in helping you through a transition point in your life?
