Corpus Christi

SEEING YOUR LIFE THROUGH THE LENS
OF THE GOSPEL (John 6:51-58)

1. Jesus tells us that to have life we need more than physical nourishment. How have you been aware of deeper hungers? What has met that deeper longing in you?

2. Jesus tells us that it is not just something he gives us which will give us life, but himself in his life, death and resurrection. How has your faith in the person of Jesus fed you?

3. Jesus speaks about ‘drawing life’ from him. In day to day living what are the practices which support your faith and help you to draw life from Jesus?

4. The Eucharist is one of the ways in which we draw life from Jesus. Recall with gratitude how the Eucharist has been a source of nourishment and life for you.

5. Perhaps you can also think of examples of people drawing life from one another. From whom have you drawn life? Who has been able to draw life from you?

- John Byrne OSA, Intercom June 2020

Oh Lord Jesus Christ, we come before You today, we thank You for the gift
of Your Holy Body and Blood through which we get strengthened body, soul and mind.
We solemnly pledge that we will offer You our undivided love and also service
to our brothers and sisters as it is Your Holy will. We pray this in the Name
of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

CORPUS CHRISTI

One of the many casualties of the Covid 19 Pandemic is our annual Corpus Christi Procession, which should take place on Sat 13th. after the Vigil Mass.  To mark the occasion this year we will have a Holy Hour from Tullamore Church after the Saturday Vigil Mass.  We invite all who can, to take time off and join the web cam or parish radio, for this hour of prayer.  We feel that this will be a worthy way to mark the feast of Corpus Christi.  All of the Priests of our Parish will take part and make an input into our prayer.  Please join us.

REOPENING OF OUR CHURCHES FOR PUBLIC MASS

Volunteers Needed - We are currently making our preparations for resumption of public Masses so that we can be ready as soon as the national roadmap allows us to do so.We are making an appeal for help. We need many volunteers. We need volunteers to help in the sanitising of the church after each Mass. We need volunteers to act as stewards at the doors of the church and inside.  Please leave your name either by email or by phone or calling to the Parish Centre.   We need as many names as possible in order to be able to draw up a rota.
