We pray for the success of World Meeting of Families,
That many may come and experience the joy of love.
We place all families in your hands,
through Christ our Lord, Amen.
 Pope and Bishop

Over the last few weeks we have been saddened by the news of severe flooding in Southern Asia.

Hundreds of people have died in India, Nepal and Bangladesh, while millions have been forced from their homes.
Our prayers and thoughts are with the families of our Indian friends here in Tullamore. Most of them are from Kerala, like our website team colleague who also worries about his friends and family back home. Unusual heavy monsoon rains have brought incessant downpours since Aug. 8th, which caused the worst floods in a century in the southwestern state of Kerala, and close to 200 people have perished there in the rising waters and landslides.
The International Federation of the Red Cross, working with the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and the Nepal Red Cross, has launched appeals to support almost 200,000 vulnerable people with immediate relief and long-term help with water and sanitation, health and shelter across the region.

You are invited to the all new and updated Alpha Programme that returns to Tullamore, commencing 13th September at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre.  Alpha is an exploration of our core Christian values and is both exciting and challenging to those of both deep faith and none.  So if you would like to come and watch the highly informative videos and discuss life's biggest questions or just sit back and take it all in among friends, in a warm friendly atmosphere, why not come along to opening night to see if this programme is for you and why not bring a friend.

‘Through Alpha, and the testimonies of those who participate in their sessions and groups, faith is renewed, rekindled, takes root.’
Cardinal K. Koch Vatican
