Summer Organ Recital Series 2017 – 19h Annual Series

We begin on Tuesday 4th. July with two very talented musicians from Dublin, both lecturers at the D.I.T. Conservatory of Music & Drama: DAVID O’DOHERTY, violin, and SIMON HARDEN, organ. We should be assurred of an evening of music-making at a very high level.

One week later, on Tuesday 11th. July we will have a  welcome return visit from the Titular Organist to the Sistine Chapel Choir, Spanish-born JUAN PARADEL SOLÉ. His recital in 2013 was most engaging.

The third concert on Tuesday 18th. July features the unusual combination of organ and uileann pipes, the former to be played by the distinguished organist of St Canice’s Cathedral, Kilkenny, MALCOLM PROUD, (whose return to the series is long oversue), and the latter to be played by well-known piper, DAVID POWER.

The final concert on Tuesday 25th. July will be given by the brilliant Austrian organist of Klagernfurt Cathedral in Carinthia, KLAUS KUCHLING.

We will, as in previous years, have big screen projection from the organ gallery to the nave of the church for your added enjoyment.

Further details may be seen on the website: www.tisos.org

For a minimum contribution of €45, you will be issued with a Patron’s ticket which will entitle you to admission to all four concerts, and to a wine reception in the Parish Centre following each recital (kindly sponsored by the Trench Trust) when you will have an opportunity to meet the musicians and make and renew friendships.
