Lord Jesus Christ, deliver me from all my sins and from every evil.
Make me ever keep Your commandments
And never allow me to be separated from You.Amen.

Academy Choir

Tullamore Academy Choir is one of only six choirs from around the world to have been chosen to represent their country in the four-day interna-tional choral contest in the small town of Elsenfeld, Germany. This is the first time ever for an Irish choir to take part in the competition and Tullamore Parish wishes them the very best of luck.

This is the text of a letter to the Editor, Tullamore Tribune, published earlier this week:

Dear Editor, Tullamore Church of the Assumption has to be one of the finest churches in the county, if not the country. Its interior is a wonder of joinery and craftsmanship, with all of the magnificence and without the opulence. The intricate, yet solid, arches recurringly branch-ing into three, always reminds me of the presence of the Blessed Trinity. To the left of the altar is a baptismal font. It is the provenance of this font that I would like to know more about. Is it correct that it was donated to the church by Lynally Anglican Church of Ireland? Do any of your readers know when this took place? If this did happen, this was surely a wonderful ecumenical gesture. Shouldn't there be a plaque to commemorate this occur¬rence between churches? There is the possibility that there is a plaque or a record of this already in the church that I have over-looked.
Yours etc, Wesley J. Beck, Limerick Street, Roscrea.
