26 November 2020

Lord, let this year be filled with the things that are truly good; with the comfort of warmth in our relationships;
With the strength to help those who need our help and the humility and openness to accept help from others.
As we make our resolutions for the year ahead, let us go forward with great hope
That all things can be possible with Your help and guidance.  Amen

 new year

On behalf of the priests of the parish ant the team I wish our parishioners every peace and blessing for the New Year.

The beatitudes offer us signs that can lead us through life with Christ at our side. We are challenged to be peacemakers. "Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God."

This is really a call to action to be makers of peace. Peace has to be created; it is not just the absence of violence. It requires ongoing effort and can never be taken for granted. We all have our part to play. Every act of violence and revenge and bad temper contributes to a violent world.

In this year, 2016, may we be people who make peace. May I be a person who works for peace.  May the peace of God be in my heart and may I have the strength and the courage to be a peacemaker.
