Hold my Hand in Weakness
Lord God, you are my strength. Hold my hand in my weakness and teach my heart to fly.
With you, there's nothing to fear, nothing to worry about. Hold me tight in your embrace,
So that I can be stronger than the challenges in my life. AmenAmen.

It has been a difficult time in our diocese and parish with the deaths of Fr. John Brogan and Fr. Willie Cleary on the one day. Fr. John is well remembered here from his time in Mucklagh and chaplaincy work in the hospital. He has been ill for the last three years and has faced his death with remarkable strength and faith. Fr. Willie got sick while visiting friends in Tullamore and died unexpectedly. He was parish priest here from 1989 to 2004 during this time he worked hard at building up the faith community. There has been a great outpouring of sadness at his passing. Many people have recalled him with fondness and remembered acts of kindness that he showed to them at critical moments in life.

A sincere word of appreciation to everyone who worked so diligently at the time of his funeral. So many people volunteered and engaged in making the arrangements, organising the liturgies and welcoming Fr. Willie’s family and visitors to the parish. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family and to his many friends. May Fr. John and Fr. Willie rest in peace.

We welcome Fr. Daniel to the parish this weekend and he will be with us for the month of August. He is from Romania and this is his first time with us. He is a colleague of Fr. Florin whom we remember fondly.

On Monday 3rd August, the bank holiday, there is only one mass at 10am.

Tullamore is unique in Ireland for it possesses two of Ireland’s unique top quality pipe organs, a few metres from each other, and they are of such contrasting character, design and ethos, yet both are authentic to their time and origin: the historic 1857 instrument by Irish organ builder William Telford and the large Danish instrument built by Frobenius in 1965 and installed in Tullamore in 1994.
