20 January 2021

This week's featured pictures are from the first ever Walk/Run along Fiona's Way beside the canal.

The Perpetual Adoration Ministry was set up for this parish in Tullamore General Hospital on 11th Sept, 1994. This was achieved due to the foresight,  great enthusiasm and encouragement of Fr. Willie Cleary, the then Parish Priest and supporting clergy.  However, this would not have been possible to maintain but for the willingness and generous commitment of Triona and John Hume.  It is due to their continued commitment over the past 20 years that we are so blessed to have this ministry within our parish.  We have also been blessed with the fruits of this ministry by the initiation of the Children of the Eucharist ministry introduced last school term. In order for the Adoration to survive we ask for your continued generosity in spending one hour a week with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.  Your reward will be great. The 20th. Anniversary  Adoration Mass will be held in Durrow Church on 5th Sept at 7.30pm.  A special warm welcome to all adorers and wider friends.
The Parents Association of Durrow School will hold a coffee morning & cake sale in the hall beside Durrow Church on Sunday 14th Sept after the blessing of the graves.  All contributions would be very welcome.

On Thurs 4th Sept Sr. Jenny celebrates the Golden Jubilee of her Religious Profession.  Mass will be celebrated in the Parish Church at 7.30pm followed by a cup of tea in the Parish Centre.  All welcome.  No gifts, your presence will be your gift.
