Church of the Assumption goes live
Web cameras have now been installed in the Church of the Assumption for the live relay of all Liturgies on the Web. This means that you can now view any celebration in the Church throughout the day. The benefits of this new service are that people who are unable to attend Mass may view it on the web, provided they have IT connection. It should also be of great benefit for special celebrations and for the relay of funerals and weddings to people who are unable to travel for such occasions

LIAM KIRWAN RIP We take this opportunity to express our great sadness at the death of Liam Kirwan. We offer our sympathy to his widow, Marie, and his family. Liam has been a great servant to our Parish through the work he has done for the Website, being involved in setting it up and being leader of the small team of people who meet every Friday to update it. He also carried his camera with him at all times and has been the main source of the pictures which have appeared on the Website for many years. In every way, he was the keystone of all our Website service and we will miss him greatly. His exemplary life was an inspiration to all. May he now rest in peace. |
