WORLD YOUTH DAY:
Six parishioners attended the recent World Youth Day celebrations in Germany with a variety of groups.  The diocesan group left for Germany on 10th Aug and stayed for six days in three parishes in the diocese of Hildesheim.  It was a great opportunity to see real family life and also to share in the life of a German parish.  All were given a great welcome and life-long friends were made.

Then it was on to Cologne to meet 700,000 other young people and Pope Benedict.  It was truly a great occasion, full of life and faith, to meet so many gathered together for Jesus.  We participated fully in the programme of teaching and prayer and on World Youth Day itself, attended Mass with Pope Benedict and nearly one million pilgrims.  The Pope acknowledged the challenges of modern life and encouraged us to find the answers to our questions in Jesus, the Word of God.

I explore the wonder of life.
Curiosity keeps you alive, interested and interesting.  Start exploring who you are and you will grow personally and spiritually.  Be interested in people and you will discover an eternal source of fascination.
