JESUS IS ALIVE!

When Pope Benedict said recently that "God's joy wants to break into the world", he was simply echoing the words of Jesus in today's Gospel.

Jesus tells us of His Father's love for Him and of His joy for us, so that His joy may be ours and be complete in us.  We are to remain with the reassurance of that love and show it to others.  Then our joy will not be dependent on external factors but flow freely from within.

We can pray this Easter Season for ourselves and each other that His joy gain a foothold in our lives.  It will proclaim louder than words that "Jesus is Alive" -

He is Risen.
