"LORD: WHO CAN BE SAVED?"

Having heard Jesus say how difficult it is for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God, his disciples asked, "Who can be saved?"

Jesus explained: "For people it is impossible, but not for God: because everything is possible for God".

Since it is unlikely that most of us will sell everything we own and give the money to the poor, as we try to follow Jesus; we must at best contribute generously, in proportion to our means, to those in need.

"Lord, may our love for you express itself in our eagerness to do good for others".

The Month of the Missions Share the Faith:

Keep the faith, but not from others. Missionary activity renews the Church in Ireland as faith is strengthened when it is shared with others. Next Sunday is Mission Sunday where the Christian faithful are asked to pray for, offer their sufferings for, and make a necessary financial contribution to the missionary activity of the Church throughout the whole world. Your support is necessary and vital.
