OUR GOD

A Merciful Loving Father

This Sunday’s Gospel reading, Jesus reveals that God is a merciful loving Father.  A Father who searches for ‘lost sheep’, and who is always waiting to welcome home wayward sons and daughters; when, like the ‘prodigal son’, we repent for our sins and ask for His forgiveness:

‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son/daughter.’

Jesus tells us that ‘there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one repentant sinner than over ninety nine virtuous people who have no need of repentance.’

It is better to begin in the evening than not at all.

The free 11-week course focuses on the teachings of Jesus and looks at the evidence for who Jesus is and what He taught.  Participants meet and listen to a talk, then break into small groups to discuss the talk and any questions they have.
