 MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!

‘You cannot be a slave both of God and of money’, says the Gospel, so we must seek to discover whether God is taking first place in our lives, or is it the endless pursuit of riches for their own sake.

It is a consoling thought that we can take nothing with us from this life except the good we have done during our stay on earth.

Seize God’s Kingdom here and now, seize the opportunities to act now and follow his message.

Remember, ‘money is an instrument that can buy everything but happiness, and a ticket to every place but heaven.’

As the sun makes ice melt,
kindness causes misunderstanding,
mistrust and hostility to evaporate.

ANNUAL PARISH TRIDUUM

The annual Triduum to St Therese is commencing next Sunday, 30th.  Large attendances  for the last few years meant that the number of sessions was increased to three per day.  The sessions will be at 10.00am, 7.30 & 9.00pm on Monday 1st & Tuesday 2nd Oct with normal Mass times on Sunday 30th.  This year’s Triduum will be led by Fr Donal O’Leary, who has vast experience in retreat work.  The feast day of St Therese will fall during the Triduum - on Monday 1st - and will include the hugely popular flower ritual, where people will bring wild and garden flowers to Therese’s shrine.

Everyone is very welcome to the Triduum - there’s an open door and a place for all.

Blessing of Small Children:  The recommencement of the 10.00am Family Mass will also form part of the Triduum.  This returns on Sunday next and will include the annual blessing of small children.  They will also receive the gift of an angel badge at the end of the Mass.

Please continue to pray for Fiona Pender, our parishioner who has been missing since 22nd August, 1996.
