We have to remember that no one is an island. We are all sisters and brothers in Christ. Our lives can be short, so we should take seriously the duty of doing good while we can by helping those who are in real need. Loves is best remembered in all the little acts of kindness. They don’t have to be the big gestures. Normally silence is golden, but there are occasions when failure to speak out is to condone an evil deed. We have to learn to help and heal each other and avoid prying, jealousy or informing on each other. A little honest talking can often clear the air. It is worth remembering that we all have faults. Take seriously the idea of doing good while we can – love our neighbour is a good place to start. Remember that love is best remembered in the little acts of kindness which can mean so much to a person’s life. “Love one another as I have loved you”. SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN AND CHILD PROTECTION A very warm welcome back to all the children and adult volunteers who are involved in church activities. At this time of year we ask parents to complete the parental consent forms for the year 2023/24. We would appreciate if these could be completed and returned as soon as possible so all can be in place for the Parish Audit. Thank you again for all your support GET INVOLVED! Getting involved in your Parish can be a very enjoyable experience! There are lots of different ways to participate and make a difference. We are looking for Readers of the Word, Eucharistic Ministers, people to help with our hospitality/welcoming group and to help with the plate collections in the Church. So why not put your name forward to play a part in your Parish. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Every life has a purpose. We need to let go of the past. Live in the present. Do not waste today worrying about what will happen tomorrow. Embrace your true spirit, embrace and listen to grace and you will be transformed in the moment. Do not fixate on what you want but give thanks for what you have. - Caroline Myss SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM Baptisms take place monthly on the first Sunday in Tullamore, second Sunday in Durrow, third and fourth Saturday in Tullamore.
