Always With You

Love desires to be always with "the Other".  Jesus loved us to the end and is now able to remain with us through the gift of His Spirit.  That Spirit is the source of new life for us and the conqueror of our death.

As Head of the Church, Jesus gives the Spirit to us - His Body - so that we may continue His Mission.  He gifts and sends us to show the Father's Love to all mankind, assuring us that He himself is always with us and that His love has conquered death and separation forever.

Parish activities

New Format for Faith Friends Programme:
The focus of the faith friends programme this year is on the transition from primary school to secondary.  This has come about both because of additional work the parish has been doing in regard to Confirmation preparation, and also because of the felt need to have some follow up with students once they move to 2nd level.  So the first half of the programme will run this coming month and the 2nd half in the Autumn.  The June programme will be happening during school hours and we would welcome help from past faith friends or interested adults who have some free time on any week day.  Contact Martin Kennedy at the Parochial House for further details.

Praying With Scriptures (Lectio Divina)
continues Tuesday at 8.00pm, basement Parochial House.  All welcome.

Parish Liturgy Resource Person Wanted:
1. To resource the parish Liturgy Committee in its responsibility for the maintenance and development of a parish vision for liturgy, and for  the  management of all parish liturgy in the light of that vision, especially weekend masses and liturgies for special occasions.
2. To support and liaise with the various existing working groups and individuals in their 'on-the-ground' work with liturgy, and to develop new such groups as the need and opportunity arises.
3.  To work as part of the parish team in this and related areas of ministry.
The post is full-time and will require some flexibility in regard to weekend and evening work.  Please contact any member of parish staff for further details.
