God's Love - God's Promise

It is difficult to let go of someone who has shared part of our life, and the disciples were no exception.  When Jesus told them He was going away, they were fearful and alone.

Sometimes we feel like the disciples, that God has distanced Himself from us and that life is a struggle.  But He gives us words of comfort:
"Peace be with you.  Do not be afraid". Jn 14:27
His peace is not what the world offers, but deep inner peace.

He promised his disciples the Holy Spirit, the Helper, the Counsellor.  That same help and consolation is also available to us when we find it difficult to change or make decisions.

When we love God we believe that He keeps His promises.
"The Helper, the Holy Spirit will remind you of all that I have told you".  Jn 14:26
