22 October 2019
O God be gracious to me and bless me and make the light of Your face shine on me
And draw me back into Your loving arms. Lord I have wandered far from You,
And have been chasing after the things that are of little importance.
I have wandered far from You Lord Jesus, I want to return into Your loving care. Amen

CHRISTMAS RECONCILIATION
Advent is a time of preparing.  We put up the decorations and buy presents.  The town is beautiful with Christmas lights.  This time of the year is all about getting ready.
During Advent we have the chance to look at our lives, to examine how the year has gone, and see what needs to be put right before the celebration of Christ’s birth.  We do this in the most special way by going to Confession – the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Saturday 22nd. is a day set aside for this in the parish.  It is our annual Day of Reconciliation.  Confessions will follow after the 10:00 a.m. Mass.  There will be a special Reconciliation Service at 12:00 noon.  There will be a priest available for Confessions until 6:00 p.m.  So if there is something that needs to be put right with God, our families, our neighbours, school or work colleagues, Saturday 22nd. is the day to do it.

CHRISTMAS MASS TIMES
Christmas Eve 6:30 p.m. & 9:00 p.m.  Durrrow 12:00 midnight.
Christmas Day as Sunday.  Polish Mass 2:30 p.m.

LONGEST NIGHT, DAWN OF HOPE - FRIDAY 21ST. 7.30 p.m.
The last 12 to 18 months have been a difficult time for our parish community.  Many of our families have suffered bereavement.  Friends have been lost, loved ones are greatly missed.  In the face of it all many have lost hope.  We are a people of hope; a people of faith and a people of love. Sometimes we just need to reconnect.  On Friday 21st - the longest night of the year - we are inviting everyone to a Ceremony of Hope and Healing.  We will pray for our loved ones who have gone and hold tight our loved ones who are still with us.  Please share this with your family and friends.

EVENING PRAYER & BENEDICTION
Evening Prayer and Benediction continues this Sunday (16th.) at 5.30 p.m. in Tullamore Church.  This is a beautiful time of prayer and reflection in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, as we join with the whole Church throughout the world in praise to God.

CHRISTMAS MASS BOUQUETS
Bouquets are available in the Parish Centre. The intentions will be included in the Masses of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the Parish.

W.M.O.F. DOCUMENTARY
Over an eight-month period, WMOF2018 opened its doors to Moondance Productions who filmed some of the team for a fly on the wall style documentary. Over the 60 minutes of this programme, you will see through the eyes of clergy, event managers, volunteers and Gardaí, part of the planning, obstacles and emotions associated with this momentous Papal visit to Ireland.
Many staff and volunteers worked in the background and do not appear in this documentary, as it only represents a small percentage of all the work done. We are certain that it will remind you of Pope Francis in Ireland and we hope that you enjoy it.
The documentary will air on December 31st 2018 at 6:30 pm on the National Broadcaster RTÉ One. If you live abroad, you will be able to view the documentary on the RTE Player from the 1st to the 7th of January 2019.

With a packed programme of over 200 events at the Pastoral Congress in the RDS, it would have been impossible to get to everything.
