VISIT OF POPE FRANCIS TO IRELAND 

This major international event brings together families from across the world to celebrate, pray and reflect upon the central importance of marriage and the family as the cornerstone of our lives, of society and of the Church.  <<Click Here>> for details.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS FOR PAPAL VISIT 

The parish is running buses to Croke Park, Knock and the Phoenix Park.  The cost for seats is €15.00 each.  All seats must be paid for by Tuesday next (21st. Aug.)  Please call to the Parish Centre during office hours, 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The departure times are as follows:
Saturday 25th, Croke Park, 12:30 p.m.
Sunday 26th, Knock  6:00 a.m. & Phoenix Park 10:00 a.m. 
All buses are departing from the Parochial House and will be leaving on time.  Please be there at least 15 minutes before departure time.

SPECIAL MASS COMMEMERATING WMOF2018 AND VISIT OF POPE FRANCIS 

On Tuesday, August 21st. at 7:00 p.m. there will be a special Mass celebrated in the Cathedral in Mullingar in preparation for the visit of Pope Francis to Ireland. Parishioners from the surrounding parishes are invited to participate in this special event.

There will be a bus operating from the parish and anyone wishing to book a seat in this should contact the parish centre or leave their names into the sacristy.

CEMETERY SUNDAY IN CLONMINCH

Cemetery Sunday Mass will be celebrated next Sunday 19th at 1:00 p.m. in Clonminch. This is an important day in our Parish, as we remember our dead and their families. There will be no 1.00pm Mass in the Church of the Assumption.

We ask all families to continue removing waste material from their graves and we acknowledge the efforts that people have been making in maintaining and keeping the cemetery tidy. The annual collection taken up at the cemetery gates will help us to maintain the cemetery to its usual high standard. Your support will be most appreciated.

The annual celebration of Mass in local cemeteries will be on the following days:
Kilbride: Sun. 2nd. Sept. at 10:00 a.m.
Durrow: Sun. 9th. Sept. at 11:30 a.m.

ROAD CLOSURES IN TULLAMORE ON SAT. 25th.

Some road closures will be in place on Sat. 25th. to facilitate the Tullamore Harriers Half Marathon. ROSE OF TRALEE 

The 2018 Rose of Tralee, who will replace Offaly's Jennifer Byrne, will be selected during live T.V. programmes on Mon. 20th. and Tue. 21st. This week some of the aspiring "Roses" visited the midlands and were treated to a tour of Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park. You can see some video footage <<Here>>. Have Fun!

The next available Baptism dates are Sat. 22nd. Sept. and Sun. 7th. Oct. in Tullamore & Sun. 14th. Oct. in Durrow. The pre-baptism meeting for these dates is on Wednesday 19th. September.
