KNIGHTS OF ST. COLUMBANUS SAY "THANKS"

The local Knights were pleased to be able to make a generous donation to parish charities recently thanks to the wonderful support they received from the local community in all their fund raising events, especially in the season before Christmas. They extend sincere thanks to all who contributed to their Church gate collection and raffle.

MINDFUL COMPASSION FOR WELLBEING

This practical positive psychology course will run over three evenings starting at the end of this month. The facilitators (Imelda Ferguson and Julie Flaherty) say the course aims to help people build self compassion skills. It will be held in Mucklagh Community Centre starting on 29th. January. LITTER SURVEY FINDS TULLAMORE STANDARDS HAVE DROPPED

 

In September 2017 Tullamore was ranked as No. 1 in tidiness standards but unfortunately in the most recent survey we have dropped to No. 12. Local businesses are keen to encourage everyone to help play their part in keeping the town litter free. Since we have done so in the past, we should be able to do it again.

GETTING MARRIED IN 2018 ?

It is advisable to give six months’ notice of your intention to marry to both the Church and the Registrar.  To book the Church for weddings, contact the Parish Secretary, Monday-Friday, 9.30am - 5.00pm.  All couples getting married must attend a pre-marriage course.  Contact ACCORD, 9341831 or www.accord.ie.

The next available Baptism dates are Sat. 20th. & Sat. 27th. Jan. & Sun. 4th. Feb. in Tullamore and Sun. 11th. Feb. in Durrow. The pre-baptism meeting for these dates is on Wednesday 17th.
