18 October 2017

God is with me, but more, God is within me.
Let me dwell for a moment on God's life-giving presence
In my body, in my mind, in my heart,
As I am here, right now.  Amen.

Year of mercy

JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY ENDS
The theme of Pope Francis’ Extraordinary Jubilee is ‘Mercy’. The Pope wants the whole Church to be reawakened to Mercy, which in the context of Christian teachings, refers to concepts such as forgiveness, healing, hope and compassion for all fellow human beings. Pope Francis has called for a ‘revolution of tenderness’ in the Church through a renewed focus on these values. All Catholics are called to spend the Year of Mercy celebrating not only the compassion and forgiveness of God but also increasing their own understanding and capacity for compassion and forgiveness, in all of their thoughts and deeds.
