ORDINATION AND FIRST MASS
It is a wonderful grace that our parish has a second ordination in six months.  Next Sunday, June 19th, Deacon Conor Magee will be ordained by Bishop Smith at 3.00pm in the Church of the Assumption.  The Ordination Mass is a beautiful liturgy steeped in history.  The one to be ordained lies flat before the Altar before the Bishop and all the priests lay their hands on his head.  Accompanied by great prayer, Conor will give himself to God in the service of his people.  Please come and join in this very special celebration.  All are most welcome.
Fr Conor will offer his First Mass of Thanksgiving at 6.30pm on Monday June 20th.  After Mass he will give his blessing individually to all.  This will be followed by a parish reception in the Parish Centre.  Again all are most welcome!
VIGIL AT CLONMACNOISE
There will be a specian PRAYER VIGIL at Clonmacnoise on Fri 17th, starting at 9.00 p.m. with Open Air Mass and Pattern Prayers at Clonmacnoise Ruins. This is followed by a Night Vigil in Cluain Chiarain Centre.  Mass in honour of the Holy Spirit will be offered for the people of the general surrounding area and victims and families affected by suicide. Finishes at 2.10 a.m.  All welcome. Enquiries Dave; 085-7746763.
