29 February 2020

Advent is a time of preparing.  We put up the decorations and buy presents.  The town is beautiful with Christmas lights.  This time of the year is all about getting ready.

We also prepare inside.  We have the chance to look at our lives, to examine how the year has gone, and see what needs to be put right before the celebration of Christ’s birth.  We do this in the most special way by going to Confession – the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Monday 21st is a day set aside for this in the parish – it is our annual Day of Reconciliation.  There will be Mass followed by Confessions in Tullamore Church at 7.45am, 10.00am & 7.30pm.  There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and a Priest available for Confessions throughout the day.

If there is something that needs to be put right with God, our families, our neighbours, school or work colleagues, Monday 21st is the day to do it!

There will also be a Reconciliation Ceremony on Christmas Eve at 12.00 noon and individual Confessions from 2-5.30pm.
