Tullamore Youth Conference

Tullamore Junior Parish Pastoral Council,Tullamore Parish Centre,Benburb Street, Tullamore,Co.Offaly.
25th January 2011

Dear Guest,

Tullamore Junior Parish Pastoral Council is holding its annual National Parish Youth Conference on 5th March in St Mary's Youth and Community Centre Tullamore.

Our theme this year is 'Community Unity- The Church as social network’’. The Council is working endlessly to ensure that this year's event will be as productive and as exciting as last year’s event. The event has received the blessing and support of Most Rev Michael Smith, Bishop of Meath.

We are delighted to have Bishop Donal McKeon and Ronan Scully as guest speakers, also Andrew Maloney and Sean Dench, both of whom addressed the conference last year. The event will be facilitated by Pat Breen.

Our hope as a Council is that every parish across Ireland will be represented by young people between the ages of 12 – 18 years of age. Those involved in Parish Youth Councils, Youth Choirs parish groups and R.E Departments are most welcome. The Conference provides an excellent opportunity for young Catholics to express their views, share ideas and receive support from each other. We also hope that it will contribute to the renewal of the Irish Church at the grass root level.

This year we would be delighted to welcome the Youth Directors of each diocese who are welcome to come together  at some part of the day  and share their experiences of ministering to their Diocesan Youth Groups and plan for the year ahead.

Tullamore Parish is committed to doing everything we can to create a safe and welcoming environment for our young parishioners, where their welfare is paramount. It is our parish policy to ensure that our children will be protected and supported in all activities.

Please find below details of the conference.

Look forward to seeing you on the day,
Tullamore Junior Parish Pastoral Council Team
