“LORD, — TAKE PITY ON ME”

Jesus’ merciful response to the Canaanite woman’s pleas, confirms that although His priority was to redeem “the lost sheep of the House of Israel”, He is willing to offer salvation to all peoples who recognise Him as their Lord and Saviour.

St Paul tells us that he was sent to bring the Good News of Salvation to the pagans.  We are assured that God’s mercy extends to all people through faith in Jesus Christ.

Isaiah had also prophesied that foreigners, who believe in the Lord to serve Him and observe the Sabbath, are welcome in “the Lord’s house of prayer for all peoples”.

“Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You.”

Generosity is not in giving me that which I need more than you do,
but it is in giving me that which you need more than I do.
- Kahlil Gibra

CLONMINCH CEMETERY DAY

Mass and blessing of graves takes place Sunday in Clonminch at 6.00pm

We remember the recently deceased and those long dead - those who shared our childhood years, those who were our companions and friends during our adult years, those who shared our faith, our hopes for the future, those who gave us love and received our own, our relatives, friends, neighbours and those who have no one to pray for them.  As we share these memories we know that part of us has gone to eternity and part of them remains with us.
